Eddie Valero

Executive Director

Eddie is the Founder/Executive Director of Young Men’s Initiative. YMI helps fatherless young men in California’s Central Valley through leadership, unity and service. Additionally, Eddie serves as School Board President on the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District (COJUSD). He also teaches in the School of Education at Fresno Pacific University. Eddie is and graduate degrees from Cornell University.

 

Emilia Villagomez

YMI Counselor

Emilia is from Cutler, CA, and currently works as a counselor at Orosi High School. She is the advisor to several school club organizations, sits on the advisory board for ACT for Women, and spends countless hours improving the lives of high school youth. Most recently, Emilia received the Educator of the Year award from the Cutler-Orosi Chamber of Commerce, because of her ability to create a better school climate and community for all.

 

Anthony Reyna

YMI Coach

Anthony resides in Dinuba and serves as a lead for the Christian Worship Center Praise and Worship team. His schooling includes the Bethel School of Music in Redding, CA, and courses at Reedley College for Business Administration. He is contracted through Lowe’s Home Improvement for flooring projects and design.

 

Gold Bermudez

YMI COach

Gold is a School Community Liaison with Tulare County Office of Education. She is also attending La Mode College to obtain her certificate in business and fashion design. Gold is a creative designer who aspires to reach the young generation with her talent and ideas. Her daily activities include fashion blogging, social media networking, and entrepreneurial talent in clothing design. Her motto is building the next generation to live passionately, unconditionally.

 

Andrea Ponce

Office Assistant

Andrea, born and raised in Los Angeles, attended Bell Gardens High School with a passion for nursing and service. She recently moved to Dinuba to help support YMI and serve as office assistant at the YMI Campus. She enjoys helping others and is excited to join the YMI team.
